My name is Matt Galland and I'm a UK Based Audio Engineer with experience in FOH/MONS/System Engineering in Live Events, with further Experience in TV Broadcast and Corporate Audio.
Recently, my work has been primarily as a System tech, with experience in both L acoustics and d&b loudspeakers. Gigs I’ve worked on have ranged from 4000 cap venues to 30,000 cap outdoor festivals.
I also work well in most other roles too, with experience in mixing large channel counts on MONS and FOH. I’ve worked on Classic Ibiza, an orchestral based dance act, mixing a mixture of both IEM’s and wedges, with a channel count that maxed out a CL5. I also toured mixing FOH for Uriah Heap too, in venues ranging in size around Europe, adding to my experience of mixing to noise limits and dealing with different PA every day. I have a wide range of console knowledge so work well as a control package tec, with a good knowledge of RF equipment and coordination.
In recent years I’ve also been working for Formula One Management, helping to deploy the broadcast audio requirements for the world feed, including mixing the press conferences at races and setting up and testing microphones around the race tracks.
